We love hearing from real humans — especially the ones curious enough to message a website that sells AI-endorsed rocks. But as it turns out, so do spam bots.
Over the past few weeks, our humble contact form became a magnet for nonsense. Dozens of messages arrived daily, offering SEO miracles, miracle pills, and questionable business opportunities. Not exactly the feedback we were after.
So we gave the form a little extra brainpower.
We added a honeypot field — an invisible trap that bots can’t resist. We also tossed in a simple human check (“What’s 3 + 4?”), just to make sure our form isn’t getting love from lines of code pretending to be curious customers.
And for real people? Nothing changed, except a better experience. If something goes wrong (like a backend hiccup), you’ll now see a friendly message. We kept it simple, honest, and — most importantly — effective.
Because even on a site that celebrates ordinariness, we believe in quality conversations. Especially the human kind.
